Our Journey
We started Synthera in 2024 right here in Wollongong. The idea was simple — the kind of AI that big companies use shouldn't be out of reach for everyone else. So we set out to make it accessible for businesses of all sizes across Australia.
We know conversational AI, NLP, workflow automation, and full-stack web dev. That means we can handle everything from the user experience right down to hooking into your existing platforms and APIs.
Our director has 16+ years in tech, including running a busy device repair shop. That hands-on experience means we get how service businesses actually work — the missed calls, the scheduling headaches, all of it. We build for healthcare, property management, retail, hospitality, and professional services.
Our approach? Everything is custom-built. Off-the-shelf tools almost never fit the way a real business operates. We'd rather take the time to understand your workflows and build something that actually works for you.

Sony's been in tech for over 16 years. He's not just a developer — he's someone who's run businesses and knows what it's like when the phone won't stop ringing and there aren't enough hours in the day.
He also runs Phone Repair Wollongong, a device repair shop that's fixed over 10,000 devices and picked up more than 1,550 five-star Google reviews across 6 years in the Illawarra. Running a high-volume service business taught him exactly how painful missed calls, messy scheduling, and manual follow-ups can be — which is exactly why Synthera exists.
So when we build an AI voice agent or chatbot, it's not some theoretical exercise. It's solving problems Sony has lived through himself. That makes a real difference.
